"Divine Geometries" Plate

For this original watercolor design we were inspired by the mysterious "carpet pages" in the Lindisfarne Gospels. Geometric patterns, in fact, were the secret language found throughout Medieval manuscripts, and for good reasons. 
It was believed that, if God had ordered the cosmos according to an orderly design, then patterns were the ideal means to understand divine harmony. For this reason, pattern were used to aid monastic meditation, in what is known as "incantory repetition."
Patterns even served as protection against evil, something still visible on the decorations of ancient swords and shields, meant to summon the protective powers of patterns.

Our unbreakable plate retains the looks of ceramics without the danger of breaking it, because it is made of a special and totally food-safe polymer. It can be used as a dinner plate or as a decoration because it looks like an authentic ceramic plate, only that it's much lighter and unbreakable.
