Comfort and design meet in this bean bag that doubles as a cozy seating and a playful, retro-modern decorative accent. Create a joyful spot in your home that works as a reading nook, a conversation area, or a lounging corner to watch your favorite movies. Thanks to its light weight, you can use it as an additional seat to move around when needed, and its durable material makes it suitable also for kids rooms.
The design features a cascade of retro floral jewels, from authentic medieval manuscripts. We digitally restored every jewel, and recreated a background in bright vermilion tone as the cinnabar mineral used for manuscripts, then rearranged all elements into an exclusive pattern. During the Middle Ages, it was customary for the richest noble women (a Queen or a Duchess) to commission paintings of their jewelry, since they were considered true art pieces. The splendid illustrations of real jewels inspired monks and professional Illuminators to create "whimsical" decorations like these ones, where jewels were reinterpreted as floral motifs. Petals became pearls, and the pistils were replaced by gems, while the vines mimicked precious jewelry chains.
The heavy canvas holds structure while still giving a soft, cozy cradle for lounging. The cover ships empty so you can customize the feel by adding your preferred beads or fill, into the inner sewn-in case. A secure locking zipper keeps everything in place for everyday family use.
