Legend of the Tree

This Collection is based on an old popular legend of forbidden love between a queen and a knight.

During a storm, it is said that the queen, accompanied by an army of 100 knights on their horses, sought refuge under a huge chestnut tree, and that very night she fell in love with one of her bravest knights. Still standing today, the so called "Hundred-Horse Chestnut" is the largest and oldest known chestnut tree in the world, believed to be 2,000 to 4,000 years old.
